Description
Energetic Profile: Protective, supportive, stimulates mental energy.
Smell: It is hard to describe the scent of Rabbitbrush as it is unique and complex. To me it offers a certain duality with sweeter, green elements giving it a herbal and flora character that remind me of bee pollen. Yet retaining volatile, spicy and earthy aspects. Interestingly, most people I have invited to smell this oil will re-smell it several times. It definitely produces intrigue (Jah Skipper, 2024).
Perfumery Note: middle note.
Main Chemical Constituents: β-phellandren, β-pinene, Limonene, (Z)-β-ocimene [1].
Adulteration and quality: This aromatic oil being exclusively offered and produced by small scale craft distillation in the USA, the relative risk of voluntary adulteration compared to globally traded oils is significantly reduced (Jah Skipper, 2024).
Distiller’s Notes: During harvesting, the fresh plant has a surprisingly subtle smell. From experience, we have found letting this tenacious herb heat up and break down for one day prior to distillation allows these aromas to be more fully expressed. Distilling our own herbs allows us to discover way to reveal and share their full potential.
