Description
Description: Hyssopus officinalis var. decumbens (now called Dracocephalum officinale subsp. officinale) is a prized French aromatherapy hyssop variety known for its safety and effectiveness, differing from common hyssop by its low ketone content making it safe for respiratory issues, viral infections, muscle spasms, and promoting mental clarity, relaxation, and boundary strengthening
Energetic Profile: A general tonic for body, mind and soul, this beautiful hyssop helps relieve fatigue and anxiety. It was used historically in purification rituals to get rid of negative energies and bring in mental clarity and cleanse the spirit. It also simulates the physcial body whilst calming the nervous system and reducing stress.
Smell: Fresh and warm, herbaceous, camphor-like notes combined with notes of lavender and eucalyptus with a hint of menthol.
Perfume: Middle Note
Main Chemical Constituents: Linalol, 1,8-cineole and limonene (1)
Adulteration and quality: This oil is seldom adulterated voluntarily. However, the plant taxonomy can be quite confusion and varieties, cultivars and species can be mixed up. The plants used to produce this essential oil are very old plantations from Manu’s mentor, nearly 100 years ago reducing the more modern concerns of the global seed and plant trades and horticultural modifications which where less global at this time. Non the less we must run GC-MS to validate the exact chemotype.
